Polly's work has ranged widely from traditional composition and photography to experimental multimedia projects. In her portfolio, Polly has written pieces, video essays, musical compositions, multimedia installations, and several collections of photographs,.

In Fall 2002, Polly composed her first electronic tape piece, 2nd and 12th, featuring piano, violin, clarinet, and sampled sound. In 2003, she wrote what i choose is youse: a naming of Ovid's "Metamorphoses," an experimental composition for six-part chorus, violin, oboe, and cello.

In April 2004, her first large multimedia installation, This is My Hat: Multimedia Essays on Street Performance, was displayed at the Eli Marsh Gallery in Amherst, Massachusetts. In Fall 2004, Polly showed her first work for instruments and interactive computer programming, Kol Nidre: For My Mother, a three-movement piece for violin, cello, and interactive real-time sound programming.

In Spring 2005, Polly created the prototype for an interactive suit that controls sound through bodily gesture. She also completed Four Small Poems, a quartet of short texts realized in video images and computer music. These were selected for presentation at the annual conference of the Society for Electroacoustic Music in the United States, held in Portland, Oregon, in April 2006. In December 2005, she premiered her Song Cycle for Voicemail (for string trio and tape).

April 2006 saw the opening of Oh, Manuel, a documentary installation about small businesses in America. In 2006, she also began work on a tool for improvisation with real-time video, which she continues to develop.

Polly also provides commercial media services, including web development, video editing, and audio services.
